Description
Meet West Cork’s farmers and producers on a two-day tour of West Cork’s food scene
After an overnight stay in a local hotel, you’ll get the chance to meet West Cork’s farmers and learn about how they make their living and contribute to Ireland’s food reputation in the environment of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
We’ll begin with a visit to a West Cork dairy farm where award-winning milk is produced alongside tasty West Cork honey. After lunch, we’ll head on to an innovative family farm where prize-winning black and white pudding are created, and food production is intimately linked to creating a sustainable woodland environment.
Dinner at the Celtic Ross Hotel will feature some of the delicious produce you’ve encountered during your first day!
On day two, take in a tasty tour of Clonakilty, visiting a wide range of food producers working with meat, cheese, ice cream, beer, chocolate, and bread in the company of acclaimed food writer Kate Ryan.
Kate will connect you to the people, places and stories that make the award-winning town of Clonakilty such a vibrant foodie hub.
